SEATech students in the Careers & Media Entertainment program brought creativity and professionalism to the forefront while hosting the 4th Annual Spectrum Commercial Contest. This year’s event featured partnerships with four local businesses—Tint Salon, City Zoo, Hot Mama’s Espresso, and Happi-NES, giving students the opportunity to develop and present comprehensive, real-world marketing campaigns.
Student teams used both morning and afternoon sessions to unveil their projects, which included a fully produced commercial, a social media reel, and a printed promotional poster. Each presentation highlighted not only technical production skills, but also strategic thinking in branding, audience engagement, and storytelling.
“Each student team has worked closely with media professionals throughout the contest to develop real-world marketing content,” said teacher Andrew Sayers. “At SEATech, our goal is to give students the opportunity to step into their careers before they graduate high school. This contest is a great example of their creativity, professionalism, and drive to succeed in today’s media industry.”
Winning commercials from both the morning and afternoon sessions will air on Spectrum Cable TV, providing students with the unique experience of seeing their work reach a broader public audience.
The annual contest continues to serve as a powerful example of SEATech’s commitment to career-connected learning, equipping students with the skills and confidence needed for success beyond graduation.
