Cascadia Tech Newsletter

From Our Director

Our students have earned thousands of industry certifications, internship hours and college credits, earned thousands in scholarships, and are graduating college and career-ready. We are so proud of the hard work these students have accomplished this year and look forward to hearing from them about college and/or the workplace next year. Congratulations to all 2026 graduates and completers.

Summer School starts Monday, June 29. We have over 850 students from SW Washington participating in FREE job skills training. Our Summer School courses offer introductory training for students entering Cascadia Tech programs in the fall, as well as introductions to CTE for future students to explore different career options.

Have a great summer. We will see our incoming and returning students for Kick-Off Day on August 18 and for the first day of school on August 24.

2026 Fashion Show

The Annual Fashion Show showcased the creativity, technical skills, and hard work of 43 students, including eight second-year students. The show culminated in a well-attended performance that welcomed approximately 220 guests and celebrated the talent and accomplishments of the Fashion Design students.

First-year students designed and constructed one original garment from scratch, while second-year students created either five coordinated pieces or three complete dresses, demonstrating advanced patternmaking and construction techniques. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of sources, students developed unique looks that were featured in four categories: Cultural, Formal, Cosplay/Fantasy, and Streetwear/Casual. Second-year students also played a key role in producing the event, working alongside instructors and professional-technical staff on everything from pattern development and garment construction to invitations, programs, and the event slideshow.
