September is here, and the energy across Cascadia Tech Academy is growing!

Our students are moving from learning the basics to putting their skills into action. Student-led businesses are beginning to open their doors to the public, giving students the opportunity to practice their technical skills while gaining real-world experience in customer service, teamwork and professionalism.

Students are also building leadership and team-bonding skills through experiences on our challenge course, learning how communication, trust and collaboration are essential both in the classroom and in the workplace.

As worksite learning opportunities begin, students will have even more opportunities to connect their classroom experiences to the world of work and explore what their futures could look like.

We are proud to see our students stepping up, working together and taking ownership of their learning. The year is just getting started, and there is so much ahead!

We are doing great things!

When Construction Technology instructor Lance Landis arrived at Cascadia Tech on Tuesday, he was greeted by a massive surprise – a ceremony where he learned that he had won a $100,000 grand prize in Harbor Freight's Tools for Schools Teaching Excellence program. The entire Cascadia Tech community conspired to keep Mr. Landis in the dark while staging a huge surprise ceremony for Mr. Landis, who was one of five grand prize winners nationwide.
