We are so proud of our Spokane Valley Tech students competing in Atlanta last month at the National Skills USA Conference! Lily Chrisman is competing in Computer Science and Jaxon McArthur and James McConnell are competing as a team in Additive Manufacturing. There have been 2 days of competitions, judges interviews and testing today, and final results will be announced Friday. Go team SVT!!

✈️ Exciting Day at the Alaska Airlines Flight Training Center! ✈️
Students from Mr. Forte, Mrs. Mork, and Mrs. Pike's Pierce County Skills Center summer school classes at Bethel and Spanaway Lake High Schools had an incredible field trip to the Alaska Airlines Flight Training Center. They toured the facility, learned about amazing career opportunities, apprenticeships, and job shadows. Most importantly, they discovered the difference between having a career and a job.

The recent blood drive at our high school, organized by the WANIC HOSA- Future Healthcare Professionals Executive Board, was a resounding success with approximately 40 students stepping up to donate blood. The event was coordinated by Tooba, the afternoon session’s HOSA VP of Community Service, whose outstanding efforts ensured a smooth and impactful experience for all participants. Our HOSA Board Members, lead by Tooba, were instrumental in facilitating an event that has the potential to save numerous lives. This blood drive not only highlighted the importance of giving blood but also underscored the profound honor we feel in contributing to such a vital cause, offering the priceless gift of saving lives. Each year Criminal Justice has a ceremony to recognize accomplishments of CJ students throughout the year. During the ceremony our current leadership removes their pins and places them on the students that will be taking their place as our new leadership team. The new leadership takes over leading the classroom and organizing our many community service events. Congratulations to the incoming 2nd year Criminal Justice students!

Cascadia Tech's 2024 Fashion Show was a huge success with over 400 in attendance. All first-year students made at minimum 1 garment and second-year students made a mini collection of 6 garments for 2-4 whole looks.
