It’s been an exciting month in our NEWTech Prep Veterinary program! Students have analyzed lab samples, learned animal anatomy by recreating systems from memory, and even had a visit from HEART (Spokane Humane Evacuation Animal Rescue Team). They learned about the requirements for becoming an animal rescue volunteer. We also updated our ICEV wall plaque to showcase all our past students who achieved ICEV certification!

What a fantastic day at our 3rd Annual Flu Clinic at NEWTech Prep!
A huge thank you to everyone who made it a success, especially our incredible volunteer pharmacist from Walgreens—you’re a rockstar!
We administered 40 flu shots today, serving not just our students but also staff, parents, and even our janitor! Our students weren’t just bystanders; they rolled up their sleeves to gain hands-on experience in patient intake, administering shots, taking vitals, and working as a team.
Thanks to everyone who participated and made this flu drive such a memorable experience!

Our Tri-Tech Skills Center Video Game Design and Culinary Arts students have joined forces in a unique collaboration project, blending tech and creativity! 🍳🎮 Together, they designed a custom app to assist the Culinary Arts program with precise cost calculations. This project not only strengthens their design and coding skills but also simulates real-world client meetings and feedback sessions—an invaluable experience as they work through revisions and suggestions, just like they would with a professional client!

At the NewTech Prep Annual Automotive Round Table Event, we had the privilege of reconnecting with one of our outstanding alumni, Brayden!
Brayden graduated last year from @newtechprep_spokane and @falconsrhs and is now studying at @westernstates.cat Tech Academy. He’s on track to graduate this May as a Generator Tech! Brayden shared how NEWTech played a crucial role in helping him find his career path. Without NEWTech, he might have never discovered Western States and all the incredible opportunities they offer.
We’re beyond proud of Brayden’s dedication and success! His story is a true testament to the power of CTE programs in opening doors for students and guiding them toward fulfilling careers.

*Physical conditioning participated in trot for treat today: They went in the neighborhood nearby for a brisk jog and then got to go to The Garden or Nom Nom for a treat with Mrs. Loncon or Ms. Lewis
*Freshman biomed students are making DNA models out of craft/everyday supplies.
