At Tri-Tech Skills Center 🎮🎨 Collaboration in action! Our Video Game Design students teamed up with the Digital Arts and Filmmaking students for an exciting color consultation project today. 🎬 The game design students shared their plans, discussing the look, feel, and style they envision for their games, including various levels, character, and enemy designs. The talented Digital Arts students will now create color palettes and mood boards to help bring those visions to life. Sno-Isle program spotlight: COSMETOLOGY Do you have a passion for styling hair? Do you want to learn how to cut, color, perm or relax hair? Do you want to learn more about basic skin care and nail care, including manicuring and pedicuring? Do you enjoy interacting with people? Join our COSMETOLOGY program! Students will have the opportunity to practice on mannequins as well as other students in the program, learning the skills it takes to become a licensed Cosmetologist! Students in this program will accumulate 300-400 professional clock hours working towards their Cosmetology license. Students can earn 3 high school credits and dual college credit allowing a jumpstart to college and working towards your license! Tri-Tech Pre-Physical Therapy and Firefighting classes had the unique opportunity to attend an orthopedic surgical viewing of a total knee replacement, hosted in collaboration with Kadlec and Providence St. Mary Medical Center. This experience allowed students to explore various healthcare pathways while engaging in real-time discussions and asking questions to the surgeon during the surgery. Mount Vernon Police Officer Paul Shaddy and Officer Robinson visited with our AM and PM criminal justice students to learn about traffic enforcement. Officer Robinson is a new officer with Mount Vernon Police Department and he was able to talk with our students about his career path into law enforcement and his experience so far as he has graduated from the WSCJTC Basic LE Academy. He is also in the last phase of his field training and has only two weeks to go!
