CBTECH Criminal Justice students spent an extensive amount of time practicing handcuffing this past week. A skill that is critical in this field.

NCTA Construction Program students had the opportunity to learn from Lisa Marx, a valued member of the NCTA Technical Advisory Committee Board and a representative from the Western States Council of Carpenters.
Lisa shared insight into the many career paths under the Carpenters program umbrella, including specialties like Millwrights and Infectious Disease Risk Assessment—opening students’ eyes to the wide range of opportunities available in the trade.
This marks Lisa’s third year guest speaking with our students, and we’re grateful for her continued support and commitment to career-connected learning!

Ethan is a student in the Engineering class at CBTECH. He is an excellent designer in the 3D printing field. Ethan was able to use his skills to assist Mr. Oliver recently by creating a cup holder attachment for Mr.Oliver's favorite coffee mug, making Mr. Oliver's morning commute so much better.

Two weeks ago we had a great time at Winter Formal! The theme was Princess & The Frog: A Night on the Bayou. It's always great seeing our students dressed up in their fanceir clothes. 🐸👸
Shout out to senior Kate L for taking the lead on most of the planning/creating the beautiful design of the dance and help from other seniors: Sal, Izzy, Noah, Nick S, and Aile. Thank you to juniors Kaye for doing a lot of the cooking/baking, Tommy, Dakota, plus most of the juniors in Mrs. Schultz class for helping with set up and tear down of the dance floor. Fun was had by all!!
In addition, we thank Aile's mother for her amazing cookies (see photos). Kaye's mother for her amazing beignets she made and for helping serve at the food station; she broght snacks the PTO donated and was one of the PTO representatives.
Last, we so appreciate Mrs. Schultz who spent a lot of time helping these students put the dance together as well as Miss H. Lewis, Miss L. Lewis, and Mrs. St. Pierre who were all chaperones at the dance.
Can't wait for the next school function!! 🎉

Mrs. Dale's Pharmacy Technician students are officially stepping into second-semester Worksite Learning—putting their skills to work in real pharmacy settings and gaining hands-on experience that matters.
Students placed with Valley Services, are working in a closed-door pharmacy, where they support medication preparation for long-term care facilities and other partner sites. This behind-the-scenes work requires precision, accountability, and attention to detail to ensure hundreds of patients receive the correct medications on time.
Students placed with Providence rotate through Sacred Heart Medical Center, Holy Family Hospital, and St. Luke’s Hospital, where they are developing hospital-level pharmacy skills. These experiences include filling Pyxis machines, hand-carrying critical medications, preparing pediatric doses, and supporting emergency medication needs—high responsibility in fast-paced clinical environments.
At Walgreens and Rosauers, students are gaining valuable retail pharmacy experience, building skills in customer service, inventory management, and insurance billing—where accuracy, communication, and problem-solving are essential.

CBTECH students had the opportunity to work with BBCC’s Jennifer Starr this week. She shared valuable insights on where and how to find scholarships, what scholarship reviewers and donors look for in applications, and the key characteristics of strong scholarship essays. Ms. Starr also provided practical tips to help students improve clarity, word choice, and overall application quality.
Students who attended the presentation and met individually with Ms. Starr benefited from one-on-one guidance on a wide range of post-secondary education topics.
