We definitely got into the holiday spirit this week! Our students had a blast participating in two fun holiday games that encouraged them to step out of their comfort zones and work together. These activities gave everyone a chance to let loose, be a little silly, and truly bond with their classmates.
We all watched in excitement as students cheered each other on, rallied as a team, and made Work Wednesday unforgettable. We're so grateful for the amazing students we have and for the opportunity to share moments like these.

SEATech Skills Center provided students with a valuable opportunity to hone their interview skills. Advanced Manufacturing & Welding Technology, Construction Technology, and Criminal Justice students went through mock interviews, showcasing their resumes and connecting with local industry professionals. 💼🏗️👮
Our Mr. Randall Elf was back up to mischief last week in our classrooms. He learned how to rough it on a job site in Construction, helped Auto Body paint some holiday cheer, learned first responder skills in Firefighting, got all the animal snuggles (even from our classroom snake) in Pre-Vet Tech, hung out in the ceiling with Pre-Electrical, got in a little legal trouble in Law Enforcement, and had some shop time with our Welding class. Last week was super busy but he’s been visiting more classes this week so stay tuned. Also check out our story for some more funny clips of his time in classes last week!
This week @Tri-TechSkillsCenter we learned proper syringe and needle handling, drawing up dosages and routes of injections! Our fruit and meat patients were very cooperative!

Northwest Career & Technical Academy (NCTA), in collaboration with Jack Carroll’s Skagit Hyundai, is proud to have offered several valuable instructional internship opportunities over the past three year to NCTA students. NCTA students who participate in this comprehensive, four-week paid internship program gain hands-on experience and knowledge under the expert guidance of Jack Carroll’s professional team. This program not only paves the way for potential employment but also provides a chance to earn a $5,000 scholarship to Skagit Valley College (SVC) to further their careers in the Automotive Service industry. Wizards of the Coast, renowned for iconic games like Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons, recently hosted an engaging event for our students here at NCTA. Over 40 students from our Animation, Graphic Design, and Video Game Development courses attended, thanks to a sponsorship by Games for Change in partnership with Hasbro and under the expert guidance of Mary Elizabeth Pearson. Employees generously volunteered their time, and some students had the incredible opportunity to spend time with John Hight, President of Wizards of the Coast and Digital Gaming, among the other 20+ Hasbro employees.

Our second year Pre-Electrical students here at Tri-Tech Skills Center had the opportunity, along with Mr. Coe, to tour the almost completed Prosser Memorial Hospital. It was truly a gift to see what we teach our students translated into the real world and the impact electricians have on important buildings like hospitals. The Pre Vet students participated in the CBC Holiday Hustle today along with some of our local FFA students! It was a great experience to work through agricultural scenarios! I’m so proud to share that one of my student teams took 3rd place in their presentation competition! Way to represent @TriTech!!!
Fire Science Cadets at Fire District 3 participated in the Hockinson Tree Lighting ceremony. The Cadets helped with parking and served chili to the community members who came to participate in the festivities.
A generous donation of $481 was given to the Cadets for their service. The money will go towards paying for Live Fire Training at Clatsop Community College- MERTS (Marine and Environmental Research and Training Station) Campus for their FLARE (Field Leadership and Response Exercise) training.

Mrs. Loncon's Physical Conditioning students have been creating their own games, teaching them to the class, and then actually having the class play the game. Now until Winter break!
Here we have a group that came up with a very intricate game inspired by the video game Mario Party, but their version is called Loncon Party 🥳. Students learn teamwork, teaching/presenting, problem solving, project management, and creative concept development. This group even said how challenging it is to "teach" and got a feel for what Mrs.Loncon/our teachers do every day. These skills are definitely useful in all our other classes and in the future. Great job, Innovators! We love seeing what you create.
