What an incredible week! Our Student-Led Conferences were a truly powerful experience for students, families, and staff alike. The pride, reflection, and ownership our students demonstrated were inspiring — hearing them share what they’ve learned, how they’ve grown, and what they’re striving for next reminded us all why this model matters. 🌟
A huge thank-you to everyone who helped make these moments possible — your intentional preparation, encouragement, and care created such meaningful spaces for families to witness authentic student growth. You could feel the energy and connection across every campus. 💙

Tonight was a great board meeting for Cascadia Technical Academy Foundation to end the year on! We celebrated a major accomplishment, in funding lots for our construction program to build houses on for the next 5 years, and celebrated the contributions of some key Board Members. Thank you Lance Barrett for serving as our Treasurer, Thank you Casey Anderson for your leadership and inspiration as our Board Chair for the past 2 years, and…. CyberPatriot had a competition this past Friday at EWU's Catalyst building in downtown Spokane. We have preliminary scores but official final scores will be out around this coming Friday. CyberPatriot includes teams of students working to find and fix cybersecurity vulnerabilities in virtual networks. We will keep you updated. Great job, Innovators!

🎮 NCTA DigiPen Game Jam Plus Weekend! 🎮
This weekend, NCTA was buzzing as our students jumped into the annual DigiPen Game Jam Plus event with the Seattle Indies! More than ten of our Video Game Development students spent the entire weekend on campus—fueled by pizza, snacks, caffeine, and just the right amount of sugar—collaborating in a global game-development challenge!
After receiving their prompt Friday at 6:00 p.m., students began collaborating with a quick Zoom kickoff to brainstormed ideas. Saturday and Sunday they met in person on campus working all day, pushing through with incredible focus and creativity, to produce an early version of Monster Dash!

Our Vet Assisting students at NewTech Prep had a great week of hands-on learning with help from our instructor’s cats. Year 1 students were introduced to basic feline handling and vitals, while Year 2 students helped guide and build on those skills.

Wonderful night at the Fire vs Law Hockey game on Saturday night. We had a great group of students and staff handing out information and meeting the public. Law Enforcement is working on Teen Target Zero (reducing teen traffic deaths) and Firefighting & EMS had Sparky the Fire Dog and handed out general Tri-Tech information.
