NEWTech Prep is at NEWTech Prep.
Last spring, Dylan represented NEWTech Construction at state and brought home a win. After graduating high school, he took on his next challenge—and has now officially graduated from boot camp as a United States Marine.
Dylan was meritoriously advanced during boot camp for his skills and performance and is now on his way to train as a combat engineer.
Congratulations, Dylan! We’re incredibly proud to see where your skills, hard work, and determination are taking you.

Today we were able to officially recognize and award four outstanding students and their teacher for helping to save a life on Saturday at the Walk to End Alzeheimers. Zoe, Mia, Analii and Serenity, along with teacher Rachel Buchanan, performed 10 rounds of CPR until paramedics arrived. Thank you to officers from MLPD and Moses Lake Fire and Rescue for taking time out of your day to honor our brave students

For two years, Patrick Dale served as a Squad Leader in NEWTech Prep’s Criminal Justice program, developing the leadership and teamwork skills that would help prepare him for his next challenge.

TRADES NIGHT: ABC IPC is hosting a Construction Trades Night at NEWTech Prep on Thursday, Oct. 1, 5-8 p.m.
This free community event welcomes kids and adults of all ages for hands-on activities like operating equipment and power tools while learning about careers in trades and training opportunities.
T-shirts, food and personal protective equipment are provided. Wear long pants and closed-toed shoes to participate in hands-on activities.

Ran into Chris today while we were visiting Pull and Save!
Chris graduated from Horton’s Automotive Technology program at NEWTech and Lewis and Clark High School last year. He’s now working at Pull and Save and plans to continue building his skills with the goal of becoming an electrician one day.
We love running into former students out in the industry and seeing where their paths take them. This is what NEWTech is all about—helping students take that first step into a career and supporting them as they continue to learn, grow, and find their way forward.

Watching these students teach, encourage, and occasionally make each other laugh way too hard is a pretty great reminder that great professionals don’t just learn; they lift each other up 💙

WANIC Skill Center is at Lake Washington Institute of Technology - LWTech.
The WANIC office and several of our Skill Center programs are located on the campus of Lake Washington Institute of Technology - LWTech . It's been exciting to watch the build of their new Center for Design the last few years. This week marks the grand opening and several WANIC students and staff joined in the celebration with Seattle Seahawks' Blitz and some of the Blue Thunder drumline. There have also been beautiful sunrises over the new building to start the day this week. LW TECH offers an array of post high school programs that WANIC students may want to check out!

We celebrated our ribbon cutting and friends/family BBQ with hundreds and hundreds of people including our staff, students, families, alumni, elected officials, district representatives, and industry partners! Thank you to SODEXO for sponsoring the food. It was a wonderful way to kick off the new school year in a facility ready to support workforce development in our community for the next 50 years. Just a sneak peak of the photos to come
