Students made a traditional popcorn garland during Mrs. Loncon's Flex session on Thursday! It was a lot of fun and added some great festivity to our building!
Has your student mentioned flex this year yet?? It allows student more time to have time to study or re-take tests in the week or do enrichment activities, like this. Talk to your student. We've done other things like karaoke, life skills challenge activity, learning how to use chop sticks, knitting, trail walks when the weather was warmer, and so much more!

Thank you to our transportation elves that have been helping us out this semester during our construction. They are helping us run back up shuttles and going above and beyond to make sure our students get where they need to go when things go sideways in a our synchronized schedule. Environmental and Civil Engineering students completed a project to learn LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), a system that rates how environmentally sustainable a building is. They designed and built their structures using graham crackers, frosting, cookies, and other materials to represent various aspects of green architecture.
Next up, Juniors & Seniors in Humanities are going to have their second annual gingerbread house competition based off local landmarks in Spokane...more to come! Parents/community members are welcome to drop off supplies like graham crackers, frosting, candies, etc if they feel up to it...although we do have somewhat of a stash and PTO has donated to us too so thank you to that/those who have donated thus far! The planning process has started....building starts monday!!
Last year the Seniors won the title of best graham crackers buildings....who will win this year???
