Meet **Kaynoni George**, a proud **West Sound Tech Esthetics graduate** who’s been thriving in the beauty and wellness industry since completing the program in **December 2022**!
After finishing the high school program and part of the college program, Kaynoni earned her esthetics license in January 2023 and she’s been making glowing results happen ever since!
💆♀️ You can now find her at Melt Massage + Skincare on Bainbridge Island, where she’s been part of the team for over two years, helping clients feel confident and cared for. Kaynoni has developed a true passion for continuing education, especially when it comes to ingredient formulation, skin chemistry, and working with acne-prone and sensitive skin types.
✨ “What I enjoy most about my esthetics career is the opportunity to connect with new people and create safe environments where clients feel supported.” — Kaynoni George
Kaynoni credits the Esthetics program at West Sound Tech for helping her find her confidence, overcome challenges, and build the structure and motivation she needed to succeed.

Maritime Technology students are working on the anatomy of vessels by building a vessel of their own as well as doing presentations on the different types. We are also working on mapping skills which includes how to find the distance between two ports only using longitude and latitude. Lastly, we are working on basic math skills and tying different types of knots and their use.

Executive Director and program advisor Rosa Juarez led the class on a field trip to the Triumph Teen Life Center, where students explored how nonprofits drive community impact through creativity and innovation. Ms. Juarez shared valuable insights on funding strategies beyond state and federal grants—showing how thinking outside the box fuels programs that support local teens.

Wow our Fire and Fuels Camp was amazing! Thank you to all of the supporting agencies that made it happen (US Forest Service, Washington National Guard, US Fish and Wildlife, Dept of Natural Resources). Our students and instructors spent three days doing skills training for wildland firefighting. They worked hard and learned what it will take to be a wildland firefighter. We even had three of our alumni as mentors helping with the training.

The PCSC Summit Cafe is now OPEN! Our cafe is open from 7:30am to 1pm on regular school days and is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! We are offering a limited menu while we deal with our cafe refrigeration issues (don't worry, the refrigerators in the kitchen are working just fine - your food is safe!) and hope to be able to offer our full menu next week!
