Last day of the 2024-2025 school year is in the books! Students enjoyed time together playing one last game of 9 square, computer games, or other board games. Students also signed yearbooks. Then as the morning ended, the kids pulled up the tape for the 9 square court so the carpet could have a breather. Also, you will see Steve (skeleton), the mascot for HBS, is ready for a break too.
Follow along though because we will still keep our SVT community updated over the summer. We have students going to Atlanta for Skills USA Nationals in a few short days. As well as FBLA Nationals in 10 days.
Students doing internships, jobs, traveling, or whatever it may be, have a great summer break! Pat yourself on the back for all the hard work and things you learned throughout this school year. Thanks to the teachers, staff, and admin as well for all the dedicated work they did this year for our students.
See you in a few short months. "Be good out there," as Mr. Johnson says.

Student Spotlight: Autumn
Homeschooled through Valley Christian, Autumn joined the NEWTech Veterinary Assisting program as a sophomore in 2022-23 and has kept an A average for three straight years. Over the last three years she has:
• Presented on surgical topics to build public-speaking skills
• Served as a program ambassador to share veterinary science with visitors
• Completed an internship at a local clinic, assisting with exams, vaccines, catheter placements, and observing surgeries
In her own words: “I started out shy, but this program pushed me to grow. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and grateful for the knowledge and opportunities NEWTech has given me.”
Congratulations, Autumn — your hard work and dedication set a great example for us all.
