Over 20 local industry professionals participated in one of the many Work-Based Learning opportunities at NCTA’s Anacortes campus! Students spent the day engaging in mock interviews, receiving feedback, and connecting directly in person with industry leaders.
We were thrilled to welcome many of our long-standing partners—including Hexcel, Janicki, Trico, and Aspen Power Catamarans—as well as new partners like Seattle Yachts and Southwest Carpenters, who joined us in person to support student growth and career exploration.
A special thanks to Boeing for providing online interviews, helping prepare students for the modern hiring process.

Sgt. Munro, Ofc. Reyna, Det. Salazar and officer Metcalf took the CBTECH Criminal Justice students with outstanding attendance for a day at the shooting range. Thank you all for your time and support of our program, our students appreciated the hands on training.
Manufacturing Tours. Our students did a driving tour at Central Pre-Mix. The large blue vessel in the picture is a floating dredge they use to mine the aquifer in order to get materials to make asphalts and concrete. The dredge mines 900 tons a day!
They also got to visit Wilbert Precast, Inc.. This company makes bridges, the artwork for the NS Corridor, sewage manhole compartments, light posts, etc. In one of the pictures, they are looking at burial vaults.

Arcade Night 2025 @ Pierce County Skills Center was a resounding success!
Students from our Video Game Development, ITS & Cybersecurity, Adv Manf-Composites, and Adv Manf-Machining programs combined their talents to create arcade-style video games from the ground up! Families had the opportunity to play each of the eight games and vote on their favorites. The top two games will be featured at the Pax West convention in Seattle over Labor Day weekend.

Halbert Construction is proud to be at Cascadia Technical Academy today assisting with the evaluation of students final knowledge assessments. This visit is particularly meaningful for us as we are joined by special guest Rylan Watson.
Rylan joined our team last year directly from this very program and we are thrilled to see him return as a roll model for current students. His brother, Jared Watson, also began his career here at Halbert Construction after graduating from Cascadia Tech.

Celebrating Culture, Talent, and Unity!
Our 2nd Annual Multicultural Assembly was a beautiful celebration of diversity, talent, and community! It was inspiring to see so many cultures represented through music, dance, poetry, and incredible instrumental performances. From singers to guitarists, dancers to spoken word artists—our students showcased their talents with heart and pride.
A huge thank you to the MLSH Colors of the World Club for organizing and presenting such a meaningful event. Your hard work and passion made this assembly truly special.
