THANK YOU South Pines Elementary, Broadway Elementary, University Elementary, and Progress Elementary for hosting our students and helping ignite their passion for education! It was also great to see our former school counselor Mrs. Baumann at one of the schools.
Awesome work, Innovators!
Shout out to Mrs. Loncon too! This is a new class to our school and she's had to create all the content herself as she goes. In fact, most our teachers this year are teaching a new class/es and have to do the same thing. Our teachers really put in their all for our students

Together, we dove into: 🔹 Student-centered scheduling 🔹 Open Door and NCTA programs 🔹 High school + post-secondary planning 🔹 Enrollment, apprenticeships, and internships
💬 In the evening, we welcomed community members for Apprenticeship 101, hosted in partnership with Career Connect Northwest. It was an inspiring conversation about hands-on pathways to career success.
📄 Missed it? A copy of the presentation is available at www.nwtech.k12.wa.us
under the “Information Tool Kit” link in the menu.
Thank you to every educator, partner, and community member who showed up ready to learn, share, and build pathways for our students. 💙

October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month
October 10, 2025
October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month — a time to highlight the importance of protecting personal information and practicing safe online habits. Walla Walla Public Schools is committed to promoting digital citizenship and ensuring that students and staff have the tools and knowledge to stay secure in today’s connected world.
The district has taken important steps to safeguard sensitive student and district data by implementing two-step verification and providing phishing awareness training. Staff and students are encouraged to use strong, unique passwords and to think carefully before clicking on unfamiliar links or attachments to avoid phishing scams.
“By working together, we can build a culture of cybersecurity awareness that keeps our students, staff, and community safe,” said WWPS Cybersecurity and Help Desk Engineer Steve Rinehart. “Thank you for making cybersecurity a priority.”
