AJAC Apprenticeship Ready

The Aerospace Joint Apprenticeship Committee (AJAC) and Cascadia Tech Academy are launching the sixth cohort of aerospace and advanced manufacturing students this fall!
The class starts Tuesday, September 23rd at 4:00 pm -8:00 pm. All students must pre-register by emailing the instructor prior to September 23rd.
This is a one-year commitment for students who will turn 18 this year or next summer. The class will be held every Tuesday through the 25-26 school year.
Students will receive 15 community college credits and an AJAC certificate with successful completion. There is no guarantee of a job at the end of the course, UNSR has hired several of our students in the past years.
There is no cost for the class. You will need to register with Cascadia if you are not currently a student here. All students need their own transportation.

Print Reading
Machining 101
Machining 102

We are excited to welcome a new member to the NCTA Fire Science at Whatcom County (located at Meridian High School) - a retired fire engine from the City of Lynden! The fire engine is already making a big impact, providing students invaluable hands-on experience and allowing them to train on the equipment they will use in their careers. Fire science instructor Mark Wohlrab shared "It's all about hands-on experience. It's amazing for us, and it gives them a huge head start." We can't wait to see the skills students will develop with this addition to our program!
