It’s getting really festive over here at Tri-Tech🎄🎁 Our very own Mr. Randall Elf has been busy helping out in classrooms. He’s been cooking with Culinary, getting his teeth worked on in Dental Assisting, sitting for Preschool story time in Early Childhood Education, participating in group discussion and supervising in Video Game Design, as well as creating movie magic in Digital Arts & Filmmaking. We also have two awesome trees… one tree made by our Firefighting students and one was a group effort featuring “ornaments” made from things our students would use in their program or industry. Check back next week to see what mischief the Mr. Randall Elf gets up to!

Did you know that we are not only a STEM academy/school, but we have skill center classes too. We have fire science, emergency medical technician, ap computer science & app development, advanced manufacturing, advanced engineering, and advanced biomedical applications. Enrollment for the 2025-2026 skill center school year will be available in the spring of 2025. https://www.spokanevalleytech.org/apps/pages/enroll

Meet Paul, a graduate from @nchs_wolfpack and NEWTech and now pursuing his DTA at SFCC, and Kaidyn, a @uhs.spirit and NEWTech graduate currently attending @whitworthuniversity . Joining their ranks, though not pictured, is Cassidy, a graduate from LC.
These three incredible individuals hold a special place in NEWTech history as the first-ever licensed graduates of our Pharmacy Technician program in 2024!
Paul, Kaidyn, and Cassidy achieved something remarkable—they graduated high school as nationally certified pharmacy technicians through the PTCB and obtained their Washington State licenses from the DOH. While still students, they were hired at @providenceeasternwa to complete their internship, and their dedication earned them permanent positions at Sacred Heart once their licenses were approved.
Today, they are thriving in their roles, impressing seasoned technicians with their skills, work ethic, and reliability. Their journey is a testament to the opportunities available through hard work and the NEWTech Pharmacy Technician program.
Congratulations, Paul, Kaidyn and Cassidy! Your success is an inspiration, and we can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’ll accomplish in the future.

CBTECH extends its heartfelt thanks to the Moses Lake Police Department for partnering with our Criminal Justice students during last week's training. Our students had the unique opportunity to volunteer and assist in training new officers, gaining invaluable insights into the essential life-saving skills required in law enforcement. This hands-on experience was not only educational but also an enjoyable and memorable experience for our students. We also want to assure everyone that no students were harmed during this training. Thank you for your dedication to shaping future leaders in public safety!

SVT has traditionally hosted a Spring Tradeshow of Innovation, where students showcase yearlong or career-long projects addressing problems in their chosen fields. They research, model, revise, and present their final creations to the community to celebrate their hard work.
This year, we’re adding Pitch Day, where students will present project ideas to community partners like you. Your role will be to listen, provide feedback, challenge their thinking, and encourage their creativity. Pitch Day is Thursday, December 12, with two sessions: 8:30-9:30 AM and 12:00-1:00 PM.
If you’re an interested community partner, please RSVP through this link, and feel free to share with others! We'd love to have your knowledge. For questions, don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re excited to share our students' incredible work! rsvp: https://tinyurl.com/3aajyvwh
*STUDENTS: Your CTE teacher will be sharing the link where you can pitch your project idea.
**RUNNING START STUDENTS: If you have one or more classes at SVT but are also in running start, you will be participating Tradeshow. You must come to one of the sessions of Pitch Day. If you cannot attend due to your college classes, please let Mrs. Baumann know. Please fill out the Google Form below to let us know who will be in your Tradeshow group and what your proposed project is: https://tinyurl.com/4xczypz9

NCTA 2024 Harvest Fest Success!
Thanks to incredible community support and the NCTA Foundation, we raised over $4,000 in ticket sales at Harvest Fest! Community members from Skagit and Whatcom counties came together to celebrate the amazing work of our students. In addition, NCTA merchandise sales grossed over $1,500 for the Foundation, showcasing the creativity and dedication of our students.
A special thanks goes to MVHS junior Camden Nelson, who secured the title sponsor, South Bay, LLC. Their generous funding provided uniforms for students participating in the event. Our students also had the privilege of working with top-quality food products, thanks to donations from local businesses such as 3 Sisters Farm, Grace Harbor Farm, Hedlin’s Family Farm, Schuh Farms, Skagit River Ranch, and Skagit Valley Co-op. These contributions helped make the event a culinary success.
The event was featured in Go Skagit, capturing the essence of the evening. You can read the article here: Harvest Fest Coverage.
If you missed the chance to grab official Harvest Fest and NCTA merchandise, it’s not too late! You can place your order here: NCTA Merchandise.
We’re always looking for passionate individuals to get involved in future events. If you’re interested, please reach out to me directly at leaves@nwtech.k12.wa.us.
Thank you for making this event such a success!
